Movandi, a leader in 5G millimeter-wave (mmWave) RF technologies and software, announced the appointment of Taher Behbehani as chief revenue and marketing officer. Behbehani brings an outstanding track record of scaling high-growth revenue, as well as bolstering enterprise strategy, technology and marketing.
Behbehani will be responsible for accelerating growth in the 5G mmWave infrastructure market, as well as capitalizing on the strength of the Movandi portfolio, including its 5G RF-to-antenna technology, smart repeaters and mesh indoor and outdoor software with cloud intelligence that cut mmWave deployment costs by half.
“Movandi is an incredible company. I was an early investor and had opportunity to evaluate what I believe is the best 5G mmWave technology in the world,” said Taher Behbehani, chief revenue and marketing officer. “I look forward to helping Movandi scale the company as we enter a fast growth stage focused on accelerating and reducing costs of 5G mmWave deployments — improving both performance and economics for 5G to reach its full potential.”
“With the addition of Taher, our leadership team is positioned to help our customers through 5G deployment challenges and accelerate mmWave coverage and global expansion using Movandi’s innovative solutions and strong partner 5G ecosystem,” said Maryam Rofougaran, CEO and founder of Movandi.
Behbehani joins Movandi, following his role as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Samsung Electronics America where he led strong market share and revenue growth in the multi-billion Mobile B2B Division. Previously, he was Chief Digital and Marketing Officer at BroadSoft, a cloud unified communication software and services company that was acquired by Cisco for approximately $1.9 billion. At BroadSoft, he led all aspects of global marketing and strategy, including forming a channel management team for B2B sales to drive success, as well as empowering channels to reduce the sales and onboarding cycles, increase end-user adoption and realize quicker time-to-market. He also has held executive leadership roles at BlackBerry, American Express, and Time Warner Cable.
