Data Management PlatformLittle Words Project Spells Expansion with NetSuite

SuiteConnect — Little Words Project, a jewelry brand known for its original word bracelets, is using Oracle NetSuite to support its mission to spread messages of self-love and kindness. With NetSuite’s integrated business system, Little Words Project has enhanced business visibility, optimized inventory, and efficiently scaled its operations to accommodate 10X business growth.

Founded by Adriana Carrig in 2013, Little Words Project has rapidly expanded and now operates more than a dozen stores, sells direct-to-consumers online, and works with major retailers including Target, Nordstrom, and Urban Outfitters. To continue to scale its retail, ecommerce, and wholesale businesses, support its ongoing product expansion, and reduce its reliance on manual processes, Little Words Project needed to replace its disconnected business systems as they limited business visibility, created inefficiencies, and slowed down decision-making. After careful evaluation, Little Words Project selected NetSuite as its new enterprise resource planning system.

“We needed to move beyond the initial business systems that got us through the early stages of growth to improve efficiency as we continued to expand our operations,” said Bill Carrig, President, Little Words Project. “NetSuite provides a single source of truth across the entire business and real-time visibility into our finances, inventory, and operations. It has helped us gain insights to inform future growth decisions and rapidly expand the Little Words Project community.”

With NetSuite, Little Words Project has been able to integrate workflows across its retail, ecommerce, and wholesale businesses to help automate financial reporting and improve inventory management. For example, NetSuite’s reporting capabilities reduce manual processes and provide Little Words Project with real-time analysis of channel and store performance. In addition, NetSuite’s inventory management capabilities have enabled Little Words Project to identify sales trends and better meet customer demand, which has helped it more than double the rate of inventory turnover and increase sales. As Little Words Project continues to introduce new offerings, including its Charms accessories, pop culture collaborations, and Bead Bar experiences, NetSuite helps it maintain efficiency and control at each phase of growth.

“Diversified sales channels and product offerings are important for long-term retail success,” said Sam Levy, senior vice president of growth and operations, Oracle NetSuite. “With NetSuite, Little Words Project has a unified view of its business and can easily access the insights it needs to understand customer behaviors, improve inventory decisions, and explore new revenue streams. As Little Words Project continues to evolve, NetSuite will continue to scale with its business.”
