Moving forward into the second decade of the 21st-century digital transformation has reached a
critical junction. The business and technology platforms merge and become a digital infrastructure which eventually becomes the business operating system (OS) (Figure 1) because business and digital are now woven together as the very fabric of organizations driven by data. Strategizing, choosing technologies, and building a digital infrastructure (DX) must now be supplemented by managing business processes, including data in the digitally transformed organization.
